This cozy, relaxed South Florida newborn session was one of my favorite newborn sessions to date! Michelle and David were excited to welcome their precious newborn into the world, and I was so excited when they reached out to me about an in-hospital Fresh 48 newborn session at Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie. The baby's gender was unknown until birth and what a sweet surprise when baby boy Beckham was born! They decided to bring a few special sentimental items with them to the hospital for the photos- a name card, special baby blanket, warm and cozy outfit which was too precious on baby Beckham.
Mom's vision for her newborn photos were for them to feel warm, natural, and emotional rather than overly posed or perfect. Her biggest hope was to capture the little details that she knew they'd want to remember forever including the tiny fingers and toes, little facial expressions, cuddles, sleepy moments, and the way they held and comforted their baby. She wanted the images to show the love, connection, and tenderness between them as new parents and their baby.
We made sure the hospital room was a calm and peaceful atmosphere where they could simply be present with their newborn. She was drawn to soft, neutral, timeless images with lots of natural cuddling and close-up moments. She wanted the session to feel like a genuine glimpse into those first precious newborn days together and I believe we achieved just that!

Most importantly, Michelle stated she wanted to look back at these photographs years from now and be able to feel exactly how small, loved, and precious their baby was and remember the love and excitement they felt bringing their little one home. I truly believe we achieved just that and I'm so happy they will have these ever-fleeting precious newborn memories and moments captured in photos to treasure for months and years to come.
