The newborn days and weeks right after your baby is born are incredibly special, filled with unforgettable moments and a whirlwind of emotions (thanks, hormones!). These first few days and weeks fly by, marking a precious milestone. As your dedicated West Palm Beach newborn photographer, serving clients all over the South Florida region, I'm committed to capturing these fleeting memories and create timeless keepsakes for your family.
This guide is designed to help you understand everything about your in-home lifestyle newborn photography session, from what to expect and when to schedule it to how to prepare for it. My goal is not only to preserve your baby’s earliest memories but also to provide you with a stress-free and meaningful experience that celebrates your growing family!
1. Reserve Your Newborn Photography Session
Reserve your newborn session here!
The first thing you need to do is reserve your session! This is super important because I have a limited number of newborn sessions each month. Completing the reservation form lets me know there is a sweet baby expected to arrive in the month of your due date, and you are on my radar.
Please don’t stress, if your baby arrives early or late or needs NICU time- I will always accommodate that! I understand you cannot control when your baby arrives and when they are healthy enough to come to their session.
2. Text/Call Me!
“Hey Jess, Baby is HERE!!” 😍 Ah, those are my favorite messages to get! I pray for each of you and your babies and knowing they have arrived safe and sound with a healthy mama puts my heart at ease.
Text or call me once your baby has arrived (within 24-48 hours please!) so I can officially put you on my schedule!
3. The Newborn Photography Session
Finally! The newborn session is here, your sweet little one in your arms is ready to be photographed. Your lifestyle newborn session can either take place at your home, or we can choose a beautiful outdoor location such as a garden venue for some perfect lifestyle newborn photos of your new precious babe and photos as a new family.
4. The Waiting Period…
Now you wait for your photos! I know, I know- it’s hard! My turn around time is 3 weeks for editing and as soon as I am done, I will be in contact with you!
5. The Big Reveal!
Grab your tissues for the big photo reveal! I will be sending your photos to you in a fully personalized online photo gallery. This is a special time to relax and truly enjoy the memories being presented to you. Your photos will tell the story of your snuggly, sweet baby ❤
6. Stay in Touch
Even though your newborn photography session is complete doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing each other again! I will be checking in for those future milestones for you and baby because trust me, it goes fast, and you’ll want to freeze as many memories as you can.
