A Fresh 48 is a newborn session that takes place in the hospital or birthing center up to 48 hours after your baby has been born. This term emphasizes capturing baby's earliest moments, when they are at their freshest and most delicate.
I'm sure every Mama can tell you how the hours and days in the hospital after birthing their precious little one was a total BLUR. Between caring for that precious babe at all hours of the day and night, caring for yourself as a new postpartum mama, the constant influx of medical personnel in and out of the room amongst everything else going on, it can feel like there is little time for much else like capturing those precious moments and details of your newborn baby and fleeting moments as a new family.
Having a specialized newborn photographer to capture all of those fleeting, precious, and memorable moments in the hospital can make all the difference and be such a treasured gift years down the road. TRUST ME!! :')
I must admit that Fresh 48's are one of my favorites sessions to photograph. There is just something so precious about capturing baby's tiny fingers and toes, fingernails and belly button, seeing them all snuggled up in their bassinet or in Mom or Dad's arms. Being able to capture babies first yawns and smiles, their first diaper changes or even their first bath... I'm here for all of the candid and precious moments!!
A Fresh 48 session is also the perfect time for siblings to meet the newest member of the family.. right where it all begins! :')
